Saya menemukan satu pertanyaan di salah satu forum diskusi tentang “Pemotongan Dana Custody Fee di Instaforex”, di mana terjadi pemotongan sejumlah dana pada akun trading dengan keterangan “Custody Fee aff. adjusment”. Jadi kalau diartikan forex custody fee adalah biaya kustodian forex. Sepengetahuan saya untuk forex tidak ada biaya atas jasa kustodian, yang ada adalah biaya swap atau biaya inap karena posisi dibiarkan terbuka dan bermalam melewati jam buka tutup server broker, itupun kalau opsi biaya swap ini diaktifkan.
Karena penasaran, saya kemudian melakukan penelurusan khusus di halaman website Instaforex, karena case yang saya jumpai adalah pemotongan dana custody fee di Instaforex. Saya masukkan kata pencarian ‘custody fee’ di kolom pencarian, dan muncul halaman penjelasan seperti d bawah ini:
Jadi kalau dilihat pada screenshot di atas, informasi tentang custody fee ini baru dirilis oleh broker Instaforex pada tanggal 6 Oktober 2021 pukul 01.30 pm. Pada halaman tersebut dijelaskan bahwa untuk akun swap free atau bebas swap, yang melakukan perdagangan apapun itu, baik pasangan mata uang, index saham, ataupun kontrak berjangka, akan dikenakan custody fee apabila menahan possisinya lebih dari 7 (tujuh) hari. Ini artinya di hari ke 8, jika posisi masih terbuka, maka trader akan dikenakan custody fee.
Custodian fee akan aktif dan dikenakan di hari ke 8 dan seterusnya. Biaya custody fee ini besarnya sama dengan biaya swap yang dikenakan pada akun standar. Pada saat perdagangan ditutup, saldo Anda akan dipotong sejumlah dana akumulatif, dan dilaporkan secara terpisah dengan keterangan “CUSTODY FEE”
